Would you like to save this?
While I am not really a big drinker, I do enjoy a cocktail here and there. Additionally, I drink a lot of water and tea in the summer months. So it was an obvious choice for me to combine some of my favorite ingredients to create this drink that gives you an explosion of flavors. While I tend to drink it a lot more often in the summer months, it's also terrific around the fall and winter holidays too.
Whenever we host a dinner party or barbecue, my friends know that they can always count on me to give them a fun time. We share lots of laughs and have a few drinks, just like this Cranberry Lemon Ice Tea With Rum, Watermelon Martinis, or my Strawberry Basil Cocktail. All of my friends are always more than happy to help me make and sip on the drinks too.

HOW DO I MAKE CRANBERRY LEMON ICED TEA WITH RUM?
STEP 1: BOIL WATER, STEEP TEA BAGS AND REMOVE LEMON SEEDS
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. While tea is steeping, juice 4 of the lemons and 4 of the limes. Remove seeds from juice.
STEP 2: FILL PITCHER WITH LEMON AND MINT
Slice the other 2 lemons and add to a pitcher with mint leaves.
STEP 3: ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS AND ENJOY!
Pour lemon and lime juice, simple syrup, tea, rum, cranberry juice and water into a glass pitcher. Mix with a spoon and refrigerate until chilled. Serve cold with ice and top with pomegranate seeds additional mint sprigs if desired.
WHAT KIND OF ICED TEA DO I NEED?
The great thing about this Cranberry Lemon Iced Tea with Rum, is that you can use any kind of tea you want. I love the flavor of regular tea, but green tea and black tea are also tasty choices as well. If you wanted to, you could even opt for a flavored tea depending on what mood you are in. Go wild and experiment a little bit to see what you like the best. While you are at it, be sure to taste these incredible Raspberry Peach Herbal Tea Popsicles too.

WHAT CAN I SUBSTITUTE FOR CRANBERRY JUICE?
If cranberry juice isn't your thing, that's completely fine. You can really switch it out with any juice that you do like. For this recipe, I would recommend choosing something like pineapple, apple, or even orange juice. Just keep in mind that if you adjust the juice you use, that the flavor is not going to be the same as my original recipe. This is more than fine; I just want you to know that up front. Pick a juice that you already enjoy.
I go for more of the light-colored juices, but you could even consider grape juice (purple or white) if you wanted to. The darker the juice, the less of the fruit and mint you will see as you are sipping on it.

CAN I SAVE LEFTOVERS?
If you end up with some leftover drinks, you can save it if you want. Just cover the cranberry lemon iced tea with plastic wrap or a lid. Place in the fridge and drink within 24 hours for best results. It's going to taste the very best when it's freshly made, but this will save you some waste if you drink it the next day.
