How do I make the Flamin' Hot Cheetos Cheese Bites?

There are just a few simple steps to make these spicy Cheetos coated cheese bites. One thing to plan for is that they do need to be placed in the freezer for at least one hour to harden before cooking them in the air fryer.

Step 1: Prepare the cheese and Cheetos

Start off by cutting the pepper Jack cheese into 18 equal-sized cubes. Then, place the 2 cups of Cheetos in a ziplock bag and carefully crus them with a rolling pin. Next, transfer the crushed Cheetos to a shallow bowl.

 

Step 2: Prepare the rest of the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients

Whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper in a separate shallow bowl. In a third bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and hot sauce.

Step 3: Make the Cheese Bites and Freeze them

Dip each cheese cube in the egg mixture, then in the flour mixture, then back in the egg mixture, and finally in the Cheetos crumbs. Transfer the coated cheese cubes to a plate or pan lined with parchment paper. Freeze for at least one hour so the cheese bites harden.

Step4: Cook the Cheetos Bites in the Air Fryer

When ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees. Place the frozen cheese cubes in an even layer in the basket of the air fryer and coat with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes. When the cheese begins to melt, the cheese cubes are finished cooking. Remove from the air fryer, serve and enjoy!
