The last day of school was Thursday for the kids. I have to admit that I was just as happy as they were that it was over! I always like to make them a special treat on their final day like Bird’s Nest Cookies or Triple Berry No Churn Ice Cream, but I was super short on time. In fact, I did not even have time to get to the store, so I had to use what I had on hand.

Fortunately, there was a lot of fresh fruit in the refrigerator. So, I put together this very simple, but tasty treat: Fruit Kebabs with Cream Cheese Dressing. These easy to make fruit on skewers were a huge hit with my daughter and my son loved the cocoa cream cheese fruit dip that I made to go with them!

How do I make the Fruit Kabobs with Cream Cheese Dip?

There are just two simple steps to making this delicious dessert treat.

Step 1: Make the Kabobs

Rinse and dry the strawberries, grapes and blueberries. Cut the strawberries in half, length wise. Spear a grape to start each kabob. Then, spear on additional grapes, strawberries, blueberries and cheese cubes as desired. Spear another grape at the end to ensure that the fruit does not fall off and to protect the spear point. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Step 2: Make the Cocoa Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sour cream with an electric mixer until smooth. Mix in the cocoa and brown sugar until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to serve with the fruit kabobs for dipping.
