A couple of weeks ago I shared with you that I had picked up the Always Eat After 7PM book after putting on a few unwanted pounds over the past 3 months. I was intrigued with the concept of intermittent fasting and the idea that eating after 7PM actually had some significant benefits. After all, this was against just about everything I had ever been told regarding my diet.

Read about my journey in these 2 posts:

One quote from the book that really got my attention was this:

"Avoiding carbohydrates and restricting calories later in the day can have an adverse effect on your thyroid hormones, which play a major role in metabolism. When the thyroid fails to secrete enough of the hormones that control metabolism, this can trigger symptoms like fatigue, depression, weight gain, thinning hair, and dry skin."

So, as someone who loves staying up late and does enjoy carbs and a pre-bedtime snack, I decided to give this a try. I am loving it and have already seen some progress!

How does the Always Eat After 7PM Diet Work?

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you'll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.

I am currently in the Main Phase and my clothes are fitting better and I definitely have more energy.Joel Marion's Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance.

What can I eat on the Always Eat After 7PM Diet?

It varies a little during the different phases. However, I have yet to find myself hungry! I am in the Main Phase so I generally y start my day with a 3-Minute Fat-Burning Ritual Drink. Then, I have a big lunch, which might be a turkey sandwich or chili loaded baked potatoes.

The dinner portions are huge and my favorite recipe in the book (so far) is the Cheeseburger Meatloaf...YUM!!! Did I mention that I also get to have dessert, like the Always Eat After 7PM version of Cherry Garcia ice cream?

Of course, my favorite part of this program is the Pre-Bedtime Fat-Burning Snack. I typically have a Spiced Oatmeal Protein Smoothie or Homemade Beef Jerky.

  2. What a progressive idea! Honestly, I've always been told not to eat so late. I'll have to look into this one.
  3. OHHH that Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet looks delish! I am really glad you're seeing progress on this program (congrats!) but I would consider buying this book just for the yummy-looking recipes (drool)...
  4. Itsfor sure an interesting concept and I do want to research it more. Thank you for sharing!
  5. I read somewhere that any food eaten after 8pm is poisonous to the system but reading this has proven me right once again that you only know what you know, there are other ways out there that may still lead you to the same destination. Thank you for sharing.
  6. I've gained so much weight during quarantine. Eating late has not helped me. I have GERD. Eating late makes it worse. I'm trying new things like portion control. I seriously love carbs and I know that is my weakness..
  7. I’m curious about this book. I don’t follow any diet rules but always curious to hear others views
  8. I'm so intrigued! I definitely do intermittent fasting but I'm curious by this. I've found my sweet spot hours to be 11-4:30 for my eating window. I would definitely love to still be eating at 7!!!
  9. This is such an interesting concept. I've been having issues with my thyroid for a few years now. Maybe this would be a good one for me to look into because of that.
