How Do I Make Air Fryer Pizza Pockets?

You won’t believe how easy it is to make your own pizza pockets at home using crescent roll dough! Just follow these five simple steps to prepare your own air fryer pizzas.

Step One: Prepare the Air Fryer

Before you can start putting your pizza pockets together, you’ll need to take a minute to get your air fryer ready for cooking. Start by lining the air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper. Then, preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.

Step Two: Prepare the Pizza Pocket Dough

While the air fryer is heating up, open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll the dough on a lightly floured surface. Press the seams together to form one large rectangle. After that, use a knife to cut the sheet into four smaller rectangles.

Step Three: Prepare the Filling

The toppings for your pizzas will be inside the pizza pockets, so it’s a good idea to mix everything up to make stuffing the pockets easier. In a small bowl, add the mini pepperoni, shredded mozzarella cheese, and pizza sauce. Stir the ingredients together until they’re well combine.

Step Five: Air Fry the Pizza Pockets

Place the prepared pizza pockets in the air fryer basket, making sure to leave space between each pocket to give the dough room to puff. Brush the pizza pockets with melted butter and cook them in the air fryer for 7 to 9 minutes. Remove the basket halfway through the cook time and flip the pizza pockets over.

Can You Substitute Crescent Rolls for Pizza Crust?

Using pizza crust to make your pizza pockets is a great option, but it’s not the only dough you can use! Crescent rolls are a delicious substitute for pizza dough, especially when you’re making pizza pockets. Since crescent roll dough is lighter and flakier than pizza crust, it creates a great container for holding the pizza filling without overwhelming the dish with too much dough.
