How do I make the Apple Bites in the Air Fryer?

Step 1: Prepare Biscuit Dough

Divide each biscuit in half. Roll each piece of dough into a ball. Lightly dust a flat surface with flour and roll out dough so it is 1/4” thick.

Step 2: Add Apple Pie Filling

Take the flattened dough in the palm of your hand and scoop about 1 tbsp bit of apple pie filling into the center of the dough.

Pro Tip: While the apples are still in the can (you can also transfer them to a bowl), use a knife to sliced through the apples to cut them into smaller. It would be difficult to transfer to the cutting board because you would lose syrup.

Step 3: Seal Dough Around Pie Filling

Pinch two sides of the dough together and then pinch the opposite sides together until the dough is pinched closed and sealed around the filling. Repeat this process for all the dough.

Lightly spray air fryer basket or tray with cooking oil. Place each apple bite into air fryer basket spacing 1”. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Air Fry at 350° Fahrenheit for 8 minutes.

Step 5: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

While bites are cooking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside. Melt the butter in another bowl and set aside.
When finished, remove apple bites and let cool to touch. Roll each apple bite in the butter, fully coating, and then roll in the cinnamon sugar to fully coat. Let cool for 5 minutes on a wire rack. Serve and enjoy!

Hi Kerrie! I have not tried this myself, but I am thinking you could give store bought pie crust a try. You may just need to reduce cooking time.
