Halloween Rice Krispie Pops

These Halloween Rice Krispie Pops are a fun treat to make with kids! Rice Krispies, butter and mini marshmallows are combined and molded into pops. Then, they are dipped in milk chocolate, white chocolate and topped with festive sprinkles. They are very easy to prepare and make a fantastic homemade treat for Halloween!

It's hard to believe it is October already, which means Halloween is right around the corner. Trick or treating will definitely look a little different this year, but I think my kids will still enjoy the day by doing some fun activities at home.

You will need just seven ingredients to make this quick and easy Halloween treat. Here is the ingredient list:

- Rice Cereal

How do I make the Holiday Rice Krispies?
There are a few simple steps to make these kid friendly treats. Start off by gathering the ingredients and kitchen items needed. Then, get started!
Step 1: Prepare the Rice Krispie Mixture
In a medium sauce pan, melt the marshmallow and the butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and ix in the rice cereal until everything is well combined. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Make the Rice Krispie Pops
Press the Rice Krispie mixture into silicone molds and insert Cake Pop or Lollipops Sticks. Place them in refrigerator for 20 minutes to set. I like to use the Ouddy Popsicle Molds from Amazon. However, if you do not have popsicle molds, you could simply form shapes with your hands or use cookie cutters.

Step 3: Dip in Milk Chocolate
Melt milk chocolate in a medium sauce pan and dunk the Rice Krispie Pops in until completely coated with milk chocolate. Then, place them onto a parchment lined tray and place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, until chocolate hardens.

Step 4: Dip in White Milk Chocolate and add Sprinkles
Melt white chocolate in a small sauce pan, then dip just the tops of the them in the white chocolate. Place the Halloween Rice Krispie Pops back on parchment lined tray. Decorate with festive sprinkles and place back in the refrigerator to set for 10 minutes before serving.

How do I serve the Rice Krispie Pops?
These holiday pops are perfect for Halloween, as they can be individually wrapped or placed in small plastic gift bags to give out to trick-or-treaters. They are also terrific for a school or office Halloween celebration.
Can I store the Halloween Rice Krispie Pops?
Yes, they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They can also be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Just make sure to remove them 10 to 15 minutes before serving to allow them to soften.

Could I make them for other holidays?
Absolutely, this is such a simple sweet treat and it could be created for just about any holiday! All you need to do is change out the color of sprinkles.
Can I use other decorations for the Rice Krispie Treats?
Yes, as along as they are small and light weight so they will stick to the chocolate. I have used colored sugar, edible glitter and confetti sprinkles. It is also fun to dip some in all white chocolate or all milk chocolate. I made the Rice Krispie Treats dipped in all white chocolate for the 4th of July, then add red colored sugar and blue edible glitter for a beautiful patriotic treat!

- Press Rice Krispie mixture into silicone molds, insert popsicle sticks and place in the refrigerator to set for 20 minutes.
- Melt milk chocolate in a medium sauce pan and dunk the Rice Krispie pops in chocolate until completely coated.
- Then, put them onto a parchment lined tray and place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes until chocolate hardens.
- Melt white chocolate in a small sauce pan, then dip just the top of the pops into the white chocolate.
- Place the pops back on parchment lined tray and add sprinkles.
- Put the decorated Rice Krispie pops back in the refrigerator to set for 10 more minutes before serving.
