Because I enjoy running and eating healthy, I don't want to sit down for lunch or dinner and eat something that's heavy all the time. There are plenty of days when I want comfort food or something that's oozing with cheese and meat like my Cheesy Beef and Noodle Casserole. However, it's way more often that I am craving something healthy like Easy Broccoli Cauliflower Crunch Salad that will fill me up and allow me to go on with my day without feeling stuffed.
These Chicken Salad Wraps are the best of both worlds! They do keep me nice and full, but I don't have to worry about it sitting in my stomach feeling heavy all afternoon. We love to make them for lunch, and they easily fit in my kiddo's lunch boxes too. They don't always feel like eating school lunches, so taking their own is a must.
We don't always do the best at meal prepping because life gets pretty busy. However, these easy Chicken Salad Wraps do make meal planning and prepping come together in a snap! We can quickly make a batch, wrap them in plastic wrap and toss them in the fridge. Then grab what we need, and we are all set. So easy!

HOW DO I MAKE CHICKEN SALAD WRAPS?
You will be blown away by how simple these chicken salad wraps are to make. They literally come together in minutes, and cleanup is a breeze too. Take a look at these two simple steps:
STEP 1: COMBINE THE CHICKEN SALAD INGREDIENTS
Mix the chicken, apple, pecans, celery, relish, mayonnaise, celery salt, and onion powder together until thoroughly mixed. Add additional mayonnaise if desired.

Would you like to save this?
STEP TWO: PUT TOGETHER THE WRAPS
To make a wrap, place chicken salad in the middle of a large tortilla. Top with chopped romaine and sliced tomato if desired. Wrap two opposite ends of the tortilla towards the center. Then, tuck one of the remaining ends over the contents of the wrap, tucking if needed. Roll the wrap into the loose end of the tortilla.

CAN I USE DIFFERENT APPLES TO MAKE CHICKEN SALAD?
Yes, it's more than fine to switch out the Granny Smith apples for a different variety. Whatever you like, will work. We love Granny Smith because they are a little bit tart, and it's a fantastic flavor with the other ingredients. Honeycrisp, Fuji, Red Delicious, and Gala would also be great choices.
As a matter of fact, if you wanted to omit the apples altogether, you could add in other fruits instead. Sometimes we have some grapes that need to be used up, and they make a beautiful addition to the mix. Green or red grapes go well with the chicken. You could even use pears if you wanted.
HOW LONG DO CHICKEN SALAD WRAPS LAST?
I find that the chicken salad wraps last around 3-4 days. So, I will make a few in advance, so we have a grab-and-go style lunch anytime we need one. Just keep them wrapped up tightly until you are ready to eat, and they will be great.
CAN I USE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN TO MAKE THE WRAPS?
Yes, if you have some rotisserie chicken, feel free to use that instead of the chicken breasts. Keep in mind that the seasoning on the rotisserie chicken will affect the flavor of the wraps, so make sure it's something you like. A lemon pepper rotisserie chicken provides fantastic flavors with these ingredients, but some seasonings may not.
