How do I make Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies?

Step 1: Prepare Cookie Dough

Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat to combine. Next, slowly mix in the flour mixture to the butter and egg mixture. Stir well to combine and until dough forms.

Step 2: Add Oreos and Chocolate Chips to Cookie Dough

Crush half the Oreos into a fine crumb, then break the remaining cookies into small pieces. Add the crushed Oreos and the chocolate chips to the cookie dough and stir to combine. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour.

Step 3: Bake the Cookies

When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop to scoop balls of dough. Place the dough on the lined baking sheet and press the ball down slightly. Top the cookie with two to three pieces of broken Oreo cookies.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are just beginning to brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
