It is hard to believe that March is almost over, 2022 is going by fast! I love the month of March for so many reasons. One of them is that it means winter is coming to an end here in Maine. After many months of very cold and snowy weather, I am really looking forward to springtime and warmer weather. Another reason that I enjoy March is because it is National Nutrition Month.

What is National Nutrition Month?
National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign that is celebrated every March. The goal is to encourage people to make informed food choices and develop healthy eating and exercise habits. Fitness and healthy eating are two of my passions in life, so I love that there is an entire month dedicated to it! Check out some of these Five Great Ways to Celebrate National Nutrition Month 2022.

Five Great Ways to Celebrate National Nutrition Month
1. Nutiva Coconut Secret
I am so glad that I discovered this fantastic soy sauce replacement! My kids absolutely love Asian food and I enjoy cooking it for them. However, I used to be concerned about the amount of sodium in some of the recipes because of the soy sauce used to create them. Then, I found Coconut Secret at the grocery store. This coconut aminos sauce has 72% less sodium than regular soy sauce and it can be used as a 1:1 replacement when used in cooking. It has a savory, slightly sweet umami flavor and it is soy-free, gluten-free and MSG-Free.

2. Mighty Sesame Organic Tahini
I love using tahini for so many different things like smoothies, hummus or in dressings and marinades. So, I was thrilled when I found Mighty Sesame Squeezable Tahini. It comes in a unique, convenient squeeze bottle, so no more endless stirring before using it! All I do is shake it then squeeze it into whatever I am making.

This nutrient dense tahini is also vegan, gluten-free, kosher and diary-free. I really enjoy using the Mighty Sesame Harissa Tahini over roasted vegetables!

3. Minute Rice
I have been a long time fan of Minute Rice, especially the Minute Basmati Rice and Minute Brown Rice & Quinoa. So, when they introduced the Minute Rice Cups that are microwaveable I was thrilled! I love the convenience of being able to make a single serving of rice quickly as they are ready in just 60 seconds. They are my go-to for breakfast or lunch when I am short on time. Of course, I also love the Minute Rice Cups after my morning workout sessions. They have just the right amount of carbs for all-day energy and prevents me from overeating. The cups are also BPA-free and 100% recyclable, so I feel good about using them.

4. Nutiva Hazelnut Spread
My kids and I love using hazelnut spread on fruit and toast. However, I was shocked at how much sugar are in some brands. Then, I came across Nutiva Organic Classic Hazelnut Spread. This vegan nutella has 40% less sugar than the leading brand and it is certified organic and Non-GMO. It has a delicious, classic hazelnut flavor and it makes a wonderful addition to pancakes, waffles, fruit and toast. I even like to dip carrot sticks in it!

5. RECIPE 33 Infused Almonds
One of the best snacks for me to take to work or keep in my gym bag are flavored almonds because they are nutritious and delicious. My favorite brand of infused almonds are RECIPE 33. These flavored almonds are made with real ingredients, have no additives and they do not make a mess like some of the other brands that I have tried. I really love the variety of flavors they come in as well:
- Smoky Serrano
- Garlic Dill
- Lemon Rosemary
- Cinnamon Vanilla
- Truffle
Right now, you can get $2.00 off of any 4 ounce bag here: RECIPE 33 ALMONDS-$2 OFF, use code: TryRECIPE33
