How do I make Air Fryer Steak Bites?
This air fryer steak recipe is incredibly easy to make! However, you do need to plan a little ahead as the steak should marinate for about 1 hour before cooking it for the best flavor.
Step 1: Prepare the Marinade
Start off by preparing the steak marinade. In a small mixing bowl, combine salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, honey and extra virgin olive oil. Whisk ingredients together until well emulsified.
Step 2: Marinate the Steak and Mushrooms
Add the steak and mushrooms to a large bowl. Then, pour the marinade over them. Toss to coat and make sure all steak cubes and sliced mushrooms are covered. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Step 3: Air Fry the Steak and Mushrooms
Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Then, transfer steak and mushroom into the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes. Remove the basket and give it a good shake, then, cook for another 5 minutes. At this point, the cooking time will depend on the degree of doneness you prefer for your steak. If you prefer it more cooked, you can continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, taking care not to completely overcook the meat. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the steak in batches.

- Mashed potatoes
- Sautéed spinach

- Pasta
- Bed of lettuce with lemon wedges

Can I add vegetables to the dish?
Absolutely, if you are not a fan of mushrooms, you can replace them with vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini cut into cubes.
What type of steak should I use for this air fryer recipe?
I used sirloin tips and cut them into cubes, however you can use any cut you prefer. Ribeye, tenderloin and New York strip steak also work well.
How do I store the leftovers?
Place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To freeze the leftovers, transfer to a ziplock bag and freeze for up to 1 month. Defrost completely before reheating. Reheat in the microwave on low-medium heat to avoid meat getting dry.
