Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, honey and oil. Whisk to make the marinade.
  • In a large bowl, add steak and mushrooms. Pour the marinade and toss to coat. Make sure all steak cubes and sliced mushrooms are coated. Marinate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 F. Spray the basket with cooking spray.
  • Transfer steak and mushroom into the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 5 minutes. Remove the basket and give it a good shake. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Cooking time depends on the doneness you want for your steak. If you enjoy more well done steak, you may need to cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, taking care not to overcook the meat.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

  • 4,5 kg which is a bit more than 5 Quarts.

What should I serve with the steak bites and mushrooms?

This delicious steak recipe can be served all by itself. However, if you want a heartier meal serve it on top of any of the following items:
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Sautéed spinach
  • Mashed cauliflower
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Bed of lettuce with lemon wedges

Can I add vegetables to the dish?

Absolutely, if you are not a fan of mushrooms, you can replace them with vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini cut into cubes.

What type of steak should I use for this air fryer recipe?

I used sirloin tips and cut them into cubes, however you can use any cut you prefer. Ribeye, tenderloin and New York strip steak also work well.

How do I store the leftovers?

Place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To freeze the leftovers, transfer to a ziplock bag and freeze for up to 1 month. Defrost completely before reheating. Reheat in the microwave on low-medium heat to avoid meat getting dry.
