Fresh Peach Salsa Recipe

This Fresh Peach Salsa Recipe is the perfect vibrant dish for all your summer gatherings. It's bursting with flavor from fresh peaches, plum tomatoes, onions, cilantro, garlic, green chilies, tangy lime juice and apple cider vinegar. This is the easiest healthy salsa recipe ever, a combination of sweet and spicy that everyone enjoys!

Not going to lie, I am a bit of salsa snob. Meaning, I love salsa so much that I am pretty picky about how it tastes. There is a perfect combination of ingredients, and if there is too much of one of them, it can throw the entire salsa off. I have made this peach salsa many times, and I have perfected it. Now it's time to share it with you so you can see how well these ingredients go together.

I was at a barbecue several years ago, and one of the guests brought a peach salsa. I'll admit that I was a little bit leary to try it. I had never had salsa with fruit like peaches before. Guess what; I was IN LOVE as soon as the sweet and tangy flavor hit my tongue. The only bad thing was that I never actually ended up with the recipe. So, I have spent a lot of time trying to perfect my homemade peach salsa recipe, and I finally got it tight!
So this is my tried and true salsa recipe, and I am finally ready to share it. I don't know why I didn't think of sharing it sooner because I know you are going to love it. If you enjoy this recipe, check out my Light and Healthy Watermelon Salsa.

PEACH SALSA VARIATIONS
You can easily add in a few extra ingredients to this homemade salsa recipe. We love the peach salsa the way it's written, but I know that sometimes it's nice to try something new and fun. Here are some ideas to give you inspiration:
- Jalapenos - Add a punch of heat by chopping up some fresh peppers. Make sure to remove the seeds, so it's not too hot.
- Strawberries - Mix in a few fresh strawberries for even more amazing flavor. Strawberries are the perfect sweetness and go well with the peaches.
- Pineapple - Another excellent fruit option is to add in some fresh pineapple. If you can't find in-season fresh pineapple, you could use canned as well.

HOW DO YOU STORE HOMEMADE SALSA?
Homemade peach salsa needs to be stored in an airtight container. It can be glass or plastic as long as the air can't get to it. It will last 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
IS PEACH SALSA SPICY?
It's sweet and tangy and mildly spicy from the green chiles. If you want to avoid any heat, simply omit the green chiles. However, if you would like it to be more spicy, you can add in additional ingredients. Jalapeños os, cayenne pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes would all be great to add more heat.

DO YOU HAVE TO USE FRESH PEACHES?
Fresh peaches are going to give you the very best results. However, you can use canned or frozen peaches if you want. Using frozen peaches will make the salsa not last near as long because they break down faster. It would last around 1-2 days instead of 3-4 days.
WHAT DO YOU SERVE WITH PEACH SALSA?
Typically, I love to serve the salsa with tortilla chips. They are wonderful and give you an amazing crunch and yummy flavor. You could also serve it on top of chicken, fish or port. It makes a great addition to tacos, burritos, or plain white rice. It also tastes absolutely delicious on top of a green salad!
