Creating a beautiful butter board is a fun way to enjoy this treat. This stylish butter board is so flavorful with the roasted garlic that ties in so well with the drizzle of honey. Ingredients for the Butter Board

  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature (16 Tabelspoons, or 2 sticks)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon chives finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dill short sprigs

Instructions

Roasted Garlic Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400° F.
  • Keep the bulbs whole and cut ½ inch off the top of the garlic bulb so the cloves are exposed.
  • Place the garlic bulbs on aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle olive oil on the exposed garlic cloves.
  • Tightly wrap the aluminum foil around the garlic.
  • Place the wrapped garlic bulbs in the oven directly on the center oven rack and bake for 40 minutes, or until the garlic cloves are lightly golden brown. They will feel soft when squeezed.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the garlic to cool for 20 minutes.

Butter Board Directions:

  • Top your buttered board just before serving so all the ingredients are in their prime. The butter can be smeared on your board ahead of time. If you place the butter board in the refrigerator remove the board 20 minutes before serving so the butter is nice and soft.
  • Use a butter knife or the back of a spoon to smear the butter onto the board by creating a pretty pattern with dips and valleys.
  • Remove the garlic from the aluminum foil. Squeeze the cloves out of the skin onto a plate and pat off the excess olive oil.
  • Top with the fresh herbs and drizzle with honey right before serving.
  • Serve with bread and a serving knife.
