Tips:
The treats will get like a dark red with a tint of maroon before they’re set. No worries, they turn a normal bright red once dry!
You can technically cut the treats a few minutes after pressing them into the pan, but you’ll want to give the chocolate time to set and giving the treats longer to sit will allow them to cut better.
It will take a strong arm to mix the rice cereal into the marshmallow. So, this step wouldn’t be great for the kiddos. You’ll want to use a strong spoon to stir at this step and not a rubber spatula.
It’s important you reheat the marshmallow before adding the cereal or it will be about impossible to mix them together.
Don’t press the treats down too hard. They will pack in too well and make the treats hard to bite.
