Ingredients

  • 1 package sugar cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Diced mixed fruit such as kiwis blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven and bake sugar cookies according to package directions.
  • Place cookies onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • While the cookies cool, prepare your frosting. Mix the softened butter and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and mix on medium speed until combined.
  • Spread frosting evenly across the top of each cooled cookie and top with several pieces of mixed fruit.
