It has been a beautiful summer here in Maine. I have enjoyed plenty of outdoor time hiking and paddle boarding with my family. Now, as we move into fall, I am hyper focused on staying well by being extra vigilant of my wellness routine this time of year. Some things like making sure that I get 8 hours or more of sleep per night and staying well-hydrated are things I aim for daily. Although, I have to admit, there are many days that it can be a struggle to make this happen.

So, you may be wondering what beta glucans are and why they are so beneficial. I knew very little about them before my tennis partner suggested that I add them to my routine. Beta glucans are fibers found in the cell walls of certain foods. There are a few different types of beta glucans, but they do not all work in the same manner. HOW DOES WELLMUNE WORK?

As I mentioned above, I love the convenience of it because it is simple to consume every day. Check out this delicious berry smoothie I make for breakfast using a supplement that contains Wellmune.
For the smoothie, I add 1 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 cup of frozen strawberries and 1 cup of frozen raspberries to a blender and blend until smooth. Then, I add in the powdered supplement with Wellmune, blend until combined, pour into a glass and top with 1 teaspoon of chia seeds.
DOES WELLMUNE “BOOST” THE IMMUNE SYSTEM?
While the term “boosting the immune system” is often used and associated with a positive impact. It is actually not optimal to have a “boosted” immune system. An overstimulated immune response can actually throw the body out of balance.
So, Wellmune does not boost the immune system, which is a positive thing. It actually trains the immune system so it is ready to act effectively.

Here is a delicious tropical smoothie bowl I make for my daughter for an after school snack.
To make the smoothie bowl: Add 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks, 1 banana, ⅓ cup orange juice, 2 tablespoons coconut and 1 tablespoon of honey to a blender. Blend until smooth, then add in a scoop of protein powder with Wellmune and blend again until combined. Pour into a bowl and add your favorite toppings. For this smoothie bowl, I added sliced strawberries and bananas, shredded coconut, chia seeds and granola to the top.
