How do I make the Air Fryer Kale Chips?

This kale chip recipe is incredibly simple to make in less than 15 minutes. There are just two steps necessary to create them.

Step 1: Prepare kale

Start off by rinsing the kale and letting it air dry. Then, remove the leaves from the stalks of the kale. Next, break the leaves up into chip size pieces and to a bowl. Drizzle olive oil over kale and sprinkle garlic powder and salt on top. Use tongs to toss an combine, making sure kale is well coated.

Step 2: Air Fry the kale

Now all you need to do is add the kale to the air fryer basket. Then, air fry for 6 minutes at 280 degrees.  Next, give the basket a shake to redistribute kale and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Finally, remove from air fryer and let dry for about 5 minutes before eating them.

  • In a bowl coat the kale in the oil and then season with the garlic and salt. Salt will cut the kales bitterness, but you can season with other spices besides garlic.
  • Cook in air fryer for 6 minutes on 280. Shake the basket and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Let chips dry for 5 minutes before enjoying.
