How Do I Make This Meat Lovers Pizza Recipe?

Using your air fryer is a simple way to make individual meat lovers pizzas for everyone in your family! All you have to do is follow these simple instructions for making your dough from scratch and cooking your pizzas in the air fryer:

Step One: Mix the Pizza Dough

Mix the warm water and yeast in a large bowl and stir. Allow the yeast to rest and proof for around five minutes, then add the sugar, flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix the ingredients together until they're fully combined. After that, use the dough hook on your stand mixer to knead the dough for around five minutes on medium speed. You can also knead the dough by hand on a lightly floured surface for around 10 minutes. Then, transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean towel to rise for around one hour, until it's doubled in size.

Step Two: Prep the Pizza Dough

When the dough has finished rising, transfer it to a lightly floured surface and separate it into four sections. Use a rolling pin to roll out each piece of dough into an 8-inch circle. Dust your pie pan with cornmeal and transfer one of the pieces of dough to the pan. Lightly press it into the pan to flatten it to the bottom, then place it in the air fryer to cook at 380 degrees for 4 minutes.

Step Three: Add the Toppings

Remove the pan from the air fryer and spread ¼ cups of pizza sauce over it. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add the sausage, bacon, and pepperoni.

Step Four: Cook the Pizza

Return the pan to the basket of the air fryer and cook for an additional 6 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sauce is cooked through. Then, repeat the process for the remaining three pizzas.

What Meat Toppings Go on Pizza?

The sausage, pepperoni, and bacon combination is so delicious that you might not want to change things up when making your own pizza! But if you want to add even more meaty flavor to your personal pan pizzas, there are several other meat toppings to choose from.

As you're making your own meat lovers pizzas, try adding these other meats:

  • Canadian bacon
  • Diced or shredded chicken
  • Ground beef
  • Ham
  • Ground pork

Do You Cook Meat Before Making Pizza?

With so many delicious meats to sprinkle over the top of your pizza, it can be difficult to choose which ones to add! But no matter what type of meat you use as your toppings, it should all be cooked before you prepare your own recipe.

Brown and crumble ground meats, such as sausage and ground beef, and drain the excess grease. Cook the bacon slices and chop them into small pieces before sprinkling them on top.

Smoked meats, such as pepperoni and ham, do not need to be reheated before being added to pizza.

Can I Cook These Air Fryer Pizzas in the Oven?

Using your air fryer to make homemade pizzas is a great preparation method because they cook so quickly! But if you don't have an air fryer at home, you can also cook these pizzas in your oven.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and arrange the pizza crusts on a large baking sheet dusted with cornmeal. Bake the pizzas for around five minutes, then add your toppings. Return the pizzas to the oven and continue cooking for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is cooked through and the cheese on top is melted.

How Do I Store Meat Lovers Pizza?

This easy air fryer recipe is a great way to prepare individual pizzas for everyone in the family. But if you have a few extra slices when dinner is over, they should be stored in the refrigerator.

Transfer the leftovers to an airtight container and store them in the fridge. They'll stay good for up to four days when stored properly.

To reheat the pizza, cook it in the air fryer or oven at 350 degrees until the slices are heated.
