This delicious and simple smoothie bowl is filled with delicious tropical fruit. A blend of kiwi, starfruit and papaya mixed with yogurt makes a healthy and delicious breakfast or snack!
Garnish: starfruit sliceskiwi slices, and a tablespoon of shredded coconut.
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a blender, starting with the yogurt and ice. Then, then ending with the kiwi, starfruit, papaya and honey (if using it).
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a deep bowl and top with slices of starfruit and kiwi, then sprinkle with coconut if desired.
Notes
I do not suggest storing this and saving for later.
I don’t add in honey as I think the fruit tastes delicious all by itself. However, some like that added touch of sweetness since starfruit can be sour. If you don’t prefer honey, some granulated sugar, maple syrup, or other sweetener will do the trick as well.
You do not need to peel starfruit. I know, it feels strange not to, but all you need to do is slice it.
If you like one fruit a little more than the others, simply add a bit more of it for that flavor to shine through.
You can add in a tropical flavored yogurt or even use Greek yogurt instead.
The juices from the fruits make the smoothie the perfect consistency, so there’s no need for added liquid.
