Lime Jello Fluff.

Old Fashioned Lime Jello Salad

This old fashioned Lime Jello Salad is always a hit at parties! A subtle lime flavor is paired with sweet and smooth whipped cream, coconut, and crushed pineapple. Don’t forget the fruity mini marshmallows to finish off this dish, which is perfect as a dessert or side.

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the lime jello and whipped cream. Stir until no white streaks appear.
  • Add the crushed pineapple, sour cream, mini marshmallows, and coconut to the bowl. Stir until fully combined.
  • Serve immediately or cover and store in the fridge overnight (I prefer storing it overnight).
  • Garnish, if desired, before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the fridge. I do not recommend freezing this recipe.
Want a stronger lime flavor? Drain the crushed pineapple before adding to the bowl and add in 2 tablespoons lime juice.
If you don’t prefer sour cream, you can use cottage cheese in its place. This ingredient cannot be fully omitted without being replaced.
Allowing the fluff salad to sit overnight is my preference because it allows the salad to reach its best flavor potential. It’s still delicious if served immediately, but it’s definitely at its best after being in the fridge a few hours.
You can use regular white mini marshmallows in place of the fruity marshmallows, if need be.
Do not prepare the jello before using. You only need to use the powder.
