Easy to Make Mezze Platter

This Easy to Make Mezze Platter is the perfect appetizer dish for your next party! A combination of fresh vegetables, cured meats, nuts and olives are paired with delicious hummus and tzatziki. Add in pita bread, then rrange the ingredients in your favorite dish or on a board for a gorgeous presentation!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups hummus I used homemade beet hummus because I love the vibrant color. However, any type can be used!
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons pine nuts roasted
  • 8 ounces rainbow carrots or small carrots peeled and washed
  • 8 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 8 ounces salami sliced
  • 8 ounce roast beef sliced
  • ½ cup green olives
  • ½ cup black olives
  • 1 cup mixed nuts I used pistachio and almond
  • 1 cup roasted cherry peppers in jar drained
  • 2 figs cut in half
  • 2 pita bread cut into triangles
  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mezze platter in a very large dish or wooden board. The one I used is 10x15 inch.
  • Place the hummus in a bowl, pour a bit of extra virgin olive oil on top and sprinkle some grilled pine nuts on it. Place in the center of the platter.
  • Arrange platter with carrots, tomatoes and cucumber first.
  • Then, add the cured meat. I rolled up the roast beef slices and stood them up for presentation.
  • Keep building with the other ingredients, filling in gaps with nuts, cherry peppers and olives.
  • Add tzatziki sauce to a small bowl and place on the cucumber. I chose this spot because the cucumber slices are flat and they pair well with the tzatziki.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables, antipasto or nuts of your choice.
