Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs such as parsley, sage, basil
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Line a muffin tin with paper liners. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder and sugar.
  • Stir in the cheese and herbs.
  • In a small bowl mix the butter, egg and milk.
  • Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Spoon into the prepared muffin tin filling each cup ⅔ full.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
