Season the Bacon: To create a candy coating on your bacon roses, the first step is to season each strip of bacon. Start by spreading a coating of light brown sugar on each piece of bacon. Then, combine the dark brown sugar, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the top of each slice of bacon.
Roll the Bacon Roses: When each piece of bacon is well seasoned, roll it into a rosebud by rolling the strip of bacon from one end to the other. Hold the rosebud upright and stick two toothpicks through the bottom of the bud, placing each stick perpendicular to each other.
Cook the Bacon Roses: Place each bacon rose in the basket of the air fryer, making sure they don’t touch each other. Cook the bacon at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Continue cooking the bacon in batches until all the slices have been cooked. After the bacon is finished cooking, remove it from the basket and allow it to cool.
Create a Bacon Bouquet: After giving the bacon rose buds time to cool completely, remove the toothpicks from the bottom of each piece. Carefully place each bacon rose on the tip of a faux rose stem, and arrange the stems in a vase.
