How Do I Make Pork Tenderloin Sliders?

Cooking pork tenderloin in the Instant Pot is one of the easiest ways to prepare this delicious cut of meat. That's because all you have to do is pop the meat in the pot and let the appliance do all the hard work for you! To make your Instant Pot pork tenderloin sliders, just follow these four simple steps:

Step 1: Sear the Pork Tenderloin

Start by setting the Instant Pot to sauté mode and adding the oil to the pot. When the oil is hot, place the pork tenderloin in the pot to sear each side. Cook each side for around one minute, until it's just beginning to brown. After that, remove the pork from the Instant Pot and turn off the pot.

Step 2: Prepare the Pork

Add ½ cup of water to the Instant Pot and use a wooden spoon to scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze the pot and remove stuck-on pieces of meat. After that, place the trivet in the pot and put the tenderloin on top of the trivet. Then, pour in the remaining water.

Step 3: Pressure Cook the Tenderloin

Place the lid on the Instant Pot and seal the vent. Set the pot to cook on high pressure for four minutes. After the cook time is up, manually release the pressure from the pot and use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the tenderloin. The pork is done cooking when the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees.

Step 4: Prepare the Sliders

When the pork tenderloin is finished cooking, remove it from the pot and cut it into thin slices. Place four to six slices of pork on the bottom piece of the Hawaiian roll, spread a small amount of BBQ sauce over the top of the pork, and place the bun on top. For added crunch, spoon a small amount of prepared coleslaw on the top of each slider before serving.

Can Pork Tenderloin Be Used for Pulled Pork?

Pork tenderloin is a very versatile cut of meat! You can slice the pork thickly to get boneless chops, cut it thin for sandwiches, or even shred it. When you're making your BBQ pork sliders, you have two options for serving your pork:

  • Sliced: After the pork is fully cooked, use a sharp knife to cut the tenderloin into thin slices. If the slices are too large for your Hawaiian rolls, each slice can be cut in half, then placed on top of the buns.
  • Pulled: Another easy way to serve your pork tenderloin sandwiches is with shredded meat. To shred your pork tenderloin, use two forks to pull the meat apart. Continue pulling the meat with the forks until it reaches the desired consistency. After that, use a spoon to top the bottom piece of the bun with meat, add the BBQ sauce, and place the bun on top.
