STEP 3: ADD IN THE OATS, NUTS, AND CHOCOLATE
Pour roasted oats and nuts in a large bowl. Add the peanut butter mixture and stir to combine. Allow the oat mixture to cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then stir in the chocolate chips.

STEP 4: POUR MIXTURE INTO PAN AND COOL
Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the oat mixture into the pan and press the mixture down into the pan until solid. Top the oat mixture with additional chocolate chips and chocolate candies. Press the candy into the top of the mixture to secure it in place. Place the granola bars in the refrigerator to cool for at least an hour. Before serving, remove the granola bars from the pan by pulling the edges of the parchment paper. Place on a flat surface and use a sharp knife to cut the granola into 10 bars.

WHAT ELSE CAN I ADD TO THE CHOCOLATE CHIP GRANOLA BARS?
These granola bars are finger-licking good the way that they are. However, if you are like me and love adding in some extra stuff here and there, I think you will like these ideas.
Peanut Butter Chips: I am a huge lover of peanut butter, and it just makes sense to add in a few peanut butter chips too. If you are a fan of peanut butter, try out my Healthy No-Bake Peanut Butter Crunch Balls too.
White Chocolate Chips: Eating white chocolate is so decadent and dreamy, so once in a while, I will add in ¼ cup or so of white chocolate chips. It takes the granola bars to the next level. Be sure to check out my White Chocolate Cranberry Cookie Mix Jar too.
Cinnamon: You don't need a lot of cinnamon, just a teaspoon or so. It gives the chocolate chip granola bars a spicy flavor that's great, especially for fall. If you are a cinnamon lover, try out my Cinnamon Banana Apple Smoothie Bowl because it's incredible!
