How Do I Make Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores?

Step One: Prepare the S'mores

Start by preheating the air fryer to 375 degrees. Then, place six chocolate chip cookies, top-side down, in the air fryer basket or tray. Top each cookie with ⅓ of a chocolate candy bar. Cut each marshmallow in half and place each half sticky side down on top of the chocolate bar. Press the marshmallow in place to keep it from coming off inside the air fryer.
Step Two: Air Fry the S'mores
Place the basket or tray in the air fryer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the marshmallows are golden brown. When the marshmallows are cooked and the chocolate is melted, remove the s'mores from the air fryer and immediately top them with a second chocolate chip cookie.

Air Fryer S'mores Baking Tips
You're going to love just how quick and easy it is to make your own s ' mores right in your air fryer! And with the help of these tips and tricks, you'll be making your own campfire treats at home all the time.
- Don't overcrowd the pan! Since your marshmallows and chocolate will quickly start melting inside the air fryer, giving your cookies plenty of space in the basket is important. It's best to work in batches when making several s'mores to keep the cookies from sticking together after cooking.
- Cutting the marshmallows in half before cooking is essential. As your s'mores cook in the air fryer, air will circulate around the marshmallows. That means they could blow off the cookies before they can melt - which will make a huge mess in your air fryer! That's why cutting the marshmallows in half is so essential. The sticky side on each half of the marshmallow will help them stay in place as the air blows inside the air fryer.
- Use any type of cookies you like. I used Chips Ahoy cookies to make these simple air fryer s'mores, but any chocolate chip cookie will work when making your own! If you're using freshly baked cookies, it's a good idea to let them cool completely before placing them in the air fryer. This will prevent them from getting too soft to eat.
- Add a liner for easy clean-up. Melting marshmallows and chocolate in your air fryer may get a little messy. If you're worried about cleaning up after making your s ' mores, try adding a piece of parchment paper or foil in the bottom of the basket to catch all those sticky drips.
- Adjust the cook time, as needed. Different air fryer brands and sizes cook differently, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on your marshmallows the first time you try this recipe. Some air fryers will toast the marshmallows in as little as three minutes, while others may take the full five minutes to cook them.

Can I Make Chocolate Chip Cookie S’mores Ahead of Time?
These delicious cookies are best enjoyed straight out of the air fryer. That's why I wouldn't recommend making them in advance. The marshmallow will quickly get sticky, and the chocolate will harden, making them more difficult to eat the longer they sit out.
Chocolate Chip S’mores Recipe Ideas
This basic recipe is perfect for satisfying your s'mores cravings. But if you want to get creative with your sweet snack, you can add tons of additions to create a deliciously unique treat.
- Try different candy. Basic chocolate bars are a great start, but there's no reason you can't substitute the plain chocolate for a more unique candy choice. Try using peanut butter cups, chocolate bars with almonds, cookies and cream candy bars, chocolate chips, or caramel chocolate.
- Make it sweet and salty. Instead of chocolate chip cookies, why not add a salty element to your s'mores? You could use Ritz crackers, Townhouse crackers, saltines, or pretzels in place of cookies.
- Add some fruit. Give your s'mores another sweet layer with the addition of fruit slices. Thinly sliced strawberries, apples, or bananas are all great additions!
