How to Make a Loaded S'mores Board

My kids love making s'mores, especially during the Fall and Summer months. Of course, I love making them too! We have been experimenting with making "fancier" versions of this delicious treat. So, instead of just using chocolate bars and marshmallows, it has been fun to try different types of chocolates, peanut butter and fruit in them.

As our s'mores have become increasingly decadent, I decided we needed a more elaborate set up to display all of the delicious ingredients. This is how the Loaded S'mores Board was created! It is really easy to put together and adds to the fun of making these tasty family favorite treats!

How do I make the Loaded S'mores Board?

There are 6 simple steps to making this beautiful dessert charcuterie-style board.

Step 1: Choose your Display Board

Pick a board to create your s'mores board. You can use whatever you want to display your ingredients, just make sure you pick something big enough to hold everything. You could also go for parchment paper, large plates, baking sheets, etc. I used a white marble cheese board for this one.

Step 2: Place the Bowls on the Board

Place your bowls of peanut butter and Nutella on the board first. Since these items are a bit bigger, you want to work around them. Keep in mind you can move stuff as you work - there is no wrong way to build this board and it is fun to experiment!

Step 3: Stack the Graham Crackers on the S'mores Board

Sporadically place graham crackers in stacks around the board. It will look nice if you have stuff spread out and not all in one area. This also allows ease from people working around the board.

Step 4: Add in the Chocolate Bars

You will want to start placing the large chocolate sheets, followed by individual chocolates. For this recipe, I placed one an entire Lindt chocolate candy bar on the board, stacked two Hershey's cookies and cream bars and split the other milk chocolate bars in half.

Step 5: Add in the Smaller Items to the Dessert Charucterie Board

Next you will fill in the blank areas with smaller chocolates like Reese's, Peppermint Patties, truffles, Almond Joy bars, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and marshmallows.

Step 6: Finish up the Loaded S'mores Board

Look at your board for empty spots and try and fill them in with marshmallows and smaller chocolates. You can stack things, but not too high unless you are feeding a lot of people. That is it, the pretty display of S'mores ingredients is all ready to go!

Notes

**You can add whatever ingredients you want in addition to what is already on here.
This board was built for 6 people, with the idea that they would have at least 2 s’mores from it. There was left overs.
The board is designed to allow you to use whatever ingredients you would like to make a s’more out of.
