Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

Start off by coarsely chopping the watermelon and removing all the seeds. Add the watermelon to the blender. Then, add it the vanilla ice cream.

*Note: It is important to add the watermelon first to the blender so the juices collect to mix with the other ingredients.

Step 2: Blend the watermelon, ice cream and raspberries

Once all the ingredients are in the blender, simply blend everything together until smooth. Divide evenly into four glasses, garnish with fresh or frozen raspberries and enjoy!

Tips and Variations to the Milkshake

This is such a simple milkshake recipe so it is very easy to change up. Here are a few ideas that I have tried and enjoy!

  • Use vanilla Greek yogurt instead of ice cream: Looking to cut back on the calories and add some protein to the shake? Instead of using vanilla ice cream, replace the same amount with vanilla Greek Yogurt. Or, if you would like it less sweet, use plain Greek Yogurt.
  • Try different berries: Try using blueberries or strawberries instead of raspberries. You could also add a mix of all three berries
  • Turn it into a fruit smoothie: Instead of adding in the ice cream, just use ice for a refreshing, low calorie watermelon raspberry smoothie.
