What is Noom?

I had heard several advertisements on the radio for Noom and I was intrigued, but I have never been a fan of diets, so I was skeptical too. However, once I did a little research about it, I realized it was different than anything I had tried in the past. Noom is a Health and Wellness program that focuses on using psychology and small changes to help people reach and maintain their health and wellness goals. I decided to go ahead and sign up for the 14 day trial. What did I have to lose, besides weight?

Noom is a program that is convenient and easy to use. It focuses on helping people to make long-lasting changes that will help lead to better overall health. Professionals experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) coach each Noom user. They dive into one's personal goals, areas for change, and potential barriers unique to each individual. During the first week, a goal specialist helps identify the "Ultimate Why" for losing weight. It was interesting for me to take a good hard look at this and realize it was about far more than seeing a certain number on the scale. It was about ultimately feeling better, getting more rest, and yes…being able to become a better athlete through a healthier lifestyle. The Noom program has a phone app, which I love because it is always right at my fingertips!

  2. I've heard so much about Noom lately! It's great that there are so many options so each person can find the program that works best for them. One of my goals is based around exercise: I want to do some form of exercise at least 5 times per week. I bet adding Noom to the equation would help a lot, too.
