Instant Pot Loaded Mashed Potatoes
Here is what you will need to make these decadent and delicious Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes:
- Russet Potatoes
- Sour Cream
- Green Onions
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper
Start off by peeling and rinsing about five pounds of Russet Potatoes.
Then, add the water and a teaspoon of salt into the Instant Pot. Place the trivet liner or basket into the pot and add whole peeled potatoes.
Close and seal the Instant Pot lid. Put it to high pressure and set timer for 20 minutes. After the pressure builds, the timer will count down for 20 minutes. When it is done, hit cancel and allow the pressure to naturally release.
When the pressure has released, remove lid from pot. Carefully, remove basket of potatoes and drain fluid out of pot. Return potatoes to the pot or put them in large bowl to mash. Slowly add milk and butter while mashing potatoes with a hand masher.

The sky is the limit with this delicious comfort food recipe. When I want to get really fancy, I use half and half or cream instead of milk. Calories..what calories? Another great idea is to add cream cheese into the potatoes when mashing them.
