Fresh Guacamole

Happy Sunday! The past week  has been a busy one with work and family events plus getting ready for Christmas. I do love this time of year even though it is hectic. This week I am sharing a quick and easy recipe for Guacamole. There are not a lot of bells and whistles to it, just 3 ingredients, but it is so fresh and delicious! This is always a huge hit no matter where I take it, whether it’s to  a holiday party or family get together. It is a healthy option and perfect to serve with a tray of cut-up veggies or tortilla chips.

Fresh Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 7 Ripe Avocados
  • Juice from 2 freshly squeezed Limes
  • 2 to 3 tsp Coarse Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Peel Avocados, remove the pits and place in medium sized bowl.
  2. Use a potato masher to mash them until they are chunky, then stir with a spoon.
  3. Stir in fresh lime juice.
  4. Stir in coarse sea salt.

Notes

*Tip: This is best served within a few hours of preparing, as it will brown. However, to avoid browning, simply squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and let sit, then press plastic wrap in top. This prevents browning and all you need to do, is mix in the lime juice when using again.
