Happy Sunday, I hope you are having a relaxing weekend. With all of the current events, my family and I are spending most of our time at home. I am keeping trips to the store to a minimum as well. Yesterday I realized that we were almost out of bread. So, I decided to do something that I have not done in quite a while, which is make my own wheat bread. I am so glad that I did! I had forgotten how simple my no yeast homemade wheat bread recipe is to make.
Why make no yeast bread?
I like to make no yeast bread because it is so quick and easy! However, it can be beneficial for people who suffer with candida (yeast infections). It is recommended to avoid sugar if you have a yeast infection, as sugar can stimulate the overproduction of yeast in the body. So, most breads need to be avoided. However, this homemade wheat bread recipe is a great alternative as it contains zero yeast!
What do I need to make the easy no yeast homemade wheat bread?
So, when I say easy, I mean easy peasy…just five ingredients in this homemade wheat bread recipe. The ingredients you will need are:
- Whole Wheat Flour
- Baking Soda
- Salt
- Milk
- Butter
That is it! One of the main reasons I love this recipe is I typically have all of these ingredients in my home. So, I can make this homemade bread when I am in a pinch, without even having to go to the store! There are just a few kitchen items needed as well for the fresh baked bread.

How do I make the Easy Homemade Wheat Bread?
Start off by preheating the oven to 300 degrees. Then, combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl with a whisk. In a small bowl combine the milk and melted butter and whisk until well combined.
Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon. Pour the bread batter into a greased a loaf pan. Put in the oven on the center shelf and bake for 50-55 minutes or until bread lightly browns.
Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Then, cool completely and slice bread into desired thickness. That is it, homemade bread in about an hour!
How do I store the no yeast wheat bread?
The bread can be stored in a ziplock bag or wrapped in plastic wrap to keep fresh for 3 to 5 days.

- 1 tbsp butter melted

This is so amazing! I had no idea you could do this! My friend is in Spain lockeddown with her elderly mum and she's too afraid to go out to buy groceries because she could put at risk the delicate health of her mum.
