One of my favorite ways to prepare overnight oats is using this easy Pineapple Upside Down Cake Overnight Oats recipe. It tastes similar to traditional pineapple dump cake with way less sugar and butter! The best part is this recipe is so versatile and can be adjusted to your dietary needs.

What ingredients do I need to make Pineapple Upside Down Cake Overnight Oats?
- Rolled oats
- Milk of your choice
- Canned crushed pineapple
- Brown sugar
- Butter or coconut oil, optional
- Vanilla extract
- Maraschino cherries
- Sea salt
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, chocolate chips, fresh pineapple chunks, shredded coconut and/or whipped cream

How do I make Pineapple Upside Down Cake Overnight Oats?
Step 1: Combine the ingredients
Add the oats, milk, drained crushed pineapple, melted butter, vanilla extract, chopped Maraschino cherries and a pinch of sea salt to a Mason jar or a glass container with a cover.

Step 2: Refrigerate
Cover the container and place in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Step 3: Serve and enjoy!
When ready to eat, remove the lid on the container and stir until blended. The oats can be eaten warm or cold. Add additional toppings, such as Maraschino cherries, chopped nuts, fresh pineapple chunks, whipped cream or chocolate chips if desired.
Note: If you prefer the oats warm, microwave in 15 to 30 second increments, stirring in between each one until warmed throughout.

Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled dry oats
- ½ cup milk regular or plant-based milk,
- ¼ cup canned crushed pineapples drained or may use fresh pineapple finely chopped or pureed.
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or sweetener of your choice
- ½ tablespoon butter for added flavor, optional...or could substitute coconut oil for butter
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 Maraschino cherries stems removed and chopped
- Pinch sea salt

Instructions
- Add the oats, milk, crushed pineapple, melted butter, vanilla extract, chopped Maraschino cherries and a pinch of sea salt to a Mason jar or container with a cover. Mix until all ingredients are well-combined.
- Cover the container and chill in the refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours.
- When ready to eat, remove the lid and stir until blended. The oats can be eaten warm or cold. Add additional toppings, such as Maraschino cherries, chopped nuts, fresh pineapple chunks, whipped cream or chocolate chips if desired.
