Welcome to the Ultimate Coffee Date! I am joining Deborah, Coco, & Lynda to enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up on what happened over the past month.
If we were having coffee…. I would share with you that I completed a big project for work this week. Then, I attended a Nursing Conference yesterday to share all the information that I collected over the past 2+ years. It was a wonderful opportunity for me and I feel quite a sense of accomplishment. I am so thankful to the numerous colleagues who graciously helped me with it! I do feel a sense of relief now, as I enjoy a Latte Macchiato, that it is over and I will have some time freed up for other endeavors.
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I officially started training for a Half Ironman last month. However, my training has not gone as scheduled due to lack of time (see above 🙂 ) and having alternating sick kids over the past month. I have done what I could squeeze in, but have not nearly accomplished what was on my training plan. This is a bit out of character for me, but triathlon is a hobby and “Family First” is my motto. I am hoping to get back on track in April!
If we were having coffee… I would express the frustrations I had switching my Blog platform from Blogger to Squarespace. Ultimately, I am on Squarespace now, and I do believe it was a good move. The learning curve has slowed me down, but I am anticipating that when we meet again in May, I will tell you that it was the right thing to do! 🙂
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I started a Link-Up Party with my friend Ilka back in February. It is called the Sunday Fitness & Food Link-Up where fellow Bloggers come to share their fitness & food related posts. I have enjoyed this tremendously & each week, a few new people link up! It is such a pleasure to read all the posts and discover so many wonderful recipes & fitness tips. Please join us if you have something new or old you would like to share!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you about the amazing trip to London that I had with my family over February vacation. We all fell in love with the city, there is so much history there and so many wonderful things to see & do. Some of our highlights were: visiting the British Museum and seeing the Rosetta Stone, touring the Tower of London, seeing the musical Wicked, and taking the Eurostar for a day trip to Paris!
I have definitely had a very busy past 2 months. At times, I have felt very stressed, but at the end of each day I am so grateful for this busy life that I have, full of family, training, work, & travel. I look forward to meeting for coffee again in May. Have a wonderful April & enjoy every minute of it!
