Happy Sunday! I hope you have had a great weekend. It’s been a busy, but fun one here as I am wrapping up a wonderful family vacation. This week I am sharing a favorite smoothie recipe, which I like to call: The Inflammation Fighting Orange Smoothie. This smoothie is easy to make and so refreshing after a hard workout! The addition of turmeric to the recipe not only adds to the color, but also packs in some fabulous health benefits. Turmeric is a spice often used in savory Indian cuisine and has many known health benefits, including reducing inflammation. It is a perfect addition to a sweet smoothie and perfect to enjoy after a long workout.
- 1 Cup of Orange Juice
- 1/2 Cup of Coconut Milk
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 Banana
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Medjool Dates, pitted
- 2 Cups of Ice Cubes ( more if you like a thicker smoothie)
- Place all ingredients in blender and blend until combined.
